Possibly one of the earliest “Coronation” photos (prior to 1951 the school building was next door to the single men’s dongas, beside the old Admin complex that sprawled through from 1st to 2nd Street, encompassing what has since become a road connecting the Huon Road end of 2nd Street to Coronation Drive). Barbara and her siblings were among the first students to move into the new building in Coronation Drive. Some names have been written on the bottom, but they are hard to decipher/attribute to the right faces. Apologies if I’ve got any wrong – let me know and I’ll correct them.
Note from Luke "Butch" Manicaros: I was at Coronation in 1951, transferring from the old school near the Mobil Oil offices on Namanula Hill not far from Horrie Niall's office. I can't see myself in this photo but some of the "missing names" are or could be: Noel Eckhoff, Barbara Griffiths (and a sister?), Billy Doherty, John Morgan (back line, left, blond/curly hair, now deceased), Graeme and Noel Goudie, Chris and Gil Harvey Hall, Robert Ferraris, Jean and David Graham (Scottish, may have been 1952 arrivals)
