MRS SLATTERY: She had a son at the school. Her husband was Owen Slattery, he initially worked for the Electricity commission (ELCOM) and then went out on his own as an electrical contractor.
TONY DAWSON: Had a brother at school. Tonys dad was Viv Dawson he had a boat chandlery and repair business.
MARK STORE: His dad worked in the Commonwealth bank
COLLIN WONG: His folks had a store, Sampsons, in the main street of town (4th Street) selling electronic goods.
REID LOWE: My dad was the area manager for the electricity commission, dad was a keen sailor and was the first secretary of the Lae Yacht Club. Mum worked at the herbarium and was a very keen golfer (Lae and territory Championships) . My brother Rod started at the school in 55/56. We lived at No. 5 7th Street, opposite the C of E mission. My Aunt Daph Watson worked at the OTC telegraph office, My uncle Ray Watson had a cattle out at Gobari, Uncle Ray was also a very good golfer.
PETER GRAINGER: Had a sister at school. His dad was Ralph. Peter and I ended up at Miami State High School in our later years.
ROCHELLE BLACKMAN: Her dad was Larry and Mum was Shirley. Larry was a pilot.
