In between this and the last pic, Diane was born in Rabaul, in August ‘53. We went South on our first leave when she was three months old, leaving Rabaul in a Catalina, complete with raincoats at take-off to keep us passengers dry! Di made the journey in typical PNG style – in a Buka basket, of course☻.
