This is the house in which most people who knew me in Lae would remember
me living - brand new and painted out in Mum’s choice of colours, much to

Dick Dodds’ disgust. He favoured
a nice pale grey throughout - didn’t like Mum’s teal green and flamingo
pink feature walls a bit! They'd become fast friends, though, by the time
he’d completed the job.
On a lighter note, anyone who was in my Mum Sheila Phillips' Brownies pack in the 50's might remember doing their "exam" at our kitchen sink to earn their Washing Up badge. Like many an ex-Brownie from Lae I'm still a world-champion washer-upper☻.
