This was my singing debut (in public, that is, except for once at a school concert in a trio, though the neighbours had to put up with me singing around the house). I was too nervous to let Bob come and watch me so he had to get one of the other guys to take this photo. That's my family more-or less in the centre foreground, and at least my Mum and my brother Richard (in the green and white striped shirt) are watching. My dad and my sisters Diane and Leonie are all intent on their newspapers.
