Margaret was born in 1846. She married Edward Braithwaite at St. Thomas's Church of England, Mulgoa, on Apr 4 1864, and is my great-grandmother. St. Thomas's Church is a beautiful old sandstone building with a flagstoned floor, situated just off the Mulgoa road on the Penrith side of Mulgoa. Their marriage was conducted by the Rev. George Vidal, who was the second minister appointed to the parish. The witnesses to the wedding were my great-great-grandfathers, Robert Taylor and Henry Braithwaite. Margaret and Edward had twelve children, ten boys and two girls. She died in childbirth on Jul 15, 1885, and is buried at St. James, Luddenham.
