John Grime arrived in Australia aboard "Agnes" on 13/02/1842 as a Bounty Immigrant with his wife Elizabeth, sons John, Henry and Andrew, and daughter Mary. Their oldest child, Selina, who would have been 17 at the time, did not accompany them. I have been unable to find a marriage for her: it is possible that she died prior to their departure or not long afterward. There is a death recorded for a Selina Grime in Ashton-under-Lyne for the June quarter of 1842 (Vol. 20 Page 24).
John's occupation on his Record of Immigration was listed as farm labourer, his religion as Episcopalian, and at that time he could neither read or write, though his wife Elizabeth could read. He appears in the 1844 Low's Directory of Sydney as J Grime, fishmonger of Hutchesons Paddocks, and in the 1854 listing as a barber in Argyle Street, The Rocks, Sydney. He died in Argyle Street in July of that same year.

The cause of her death was Marasmus Seniles.
