Lillian Helen is the first child born to Walter and Lillian Parsons. In 1935 Lillian Helen married Tom Claude Bygrave and they had four children. The oldest, Mick, was struck down by polio in Margate in 1948 and left almost completely paralyzed, but obtained a degree in accounting and managed to turn the family sawmilling business in Hervey Bay into a thriving enterprise from his wheelchair. Aileen was a beauty queen on the gold coast as a young woman.
